The total investment by Baker Hughes into this manufacturing facility was almost $60 million, the construction period from our appointment was 23 months. The plant started production in 2014.
In addition to constructing the 31,000 m2 factory we also undertook a capital remont of the adjacent 5,000m2 office building and the construction of a 1.7 km railway connection direct from the factory to the main railway line.
This is only the 2nd plant of its type in the world. Altaca's key managemant for the project visited the original facility and thereafter closely consulted with the Client's experts to ensure that the end result met all their expectations.
Altaca have been working with Baker Hughes in Russia since 2003 under a Framework Agreement and have undertaken projects for them previously in Moscow, Nizhnevartovsk, Nefteyugansk and Noyabrsk
