Nike, Inc. is an American multinational corporation that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services.
ARCHITECTS DESCRIPTION
The Architects have turned functional details such as the mannequins on the podiums, the clothes hangers, and the shoe stands into elements of design.
No fewer than 11 presentation rooms now occupy one half of the floor next to NIKE's main office. Their design follows NIKE's corporate style and echoes the interiors of the company's showrooms in other countries around the world. Each space is devoted to a specific type of sport (tennis, football, basketball, light athletics, and so on) and is named after a well-known figure in the sport. Important features of the visual style are the images of famous sports people on the walls and the markings on the floor, which repeats the pattern of a sports field.
PROJECT
The facilities we constructed are the main showrooms (with related meeting & conference rooms) for demonstrating their products to their Russian Distributors & Dealers.
The project works had to be undertaken to a very tight schedule between the closing of one fashion season and the launch of the products for the new season. We started with demolishing everything in the area from the previous fit-out back to shell and core condition.
The design, which was to their new concept for Europe, took full advantage of the 5m slab-to-slab available height with all services open with no ceilings installed. We worked very closely with their appointed showroom fittings company from the UK to achieve the final result.
The completed project was nominated for that year's Best Office Awards
